but this teeny bit held my fancy - //I grew up listening to my dad who was quite the shave-time serenader. He gave us our morning renditions of old Rafi and Yesudas numbers while we sat around begging him to stop.

That reminds sooooo much of my dad *sigh* and then, its reality again.
Good to know other dads bombarded their kids with oldies ... my dad's fav was "mere saamne wale khidki main " :)

Newaz, I jus went on stage 2ice.. 1ce was in some stupid skit cald "everything is for our own good" and another time for the thought for the day..screwed up the 2nd though..School Life.. *Sigh*..

Whoa !! That song.....brings back soooo many memories of childhood. It has been years someone mentioned that song and I had completely forgotten about it ...

then come the lines with the L's in them

... some thing like that i just can't remember the whole rhyme/song :) :)
