Classic song that. Rafi saab gives that song amazing emotion. The way he emotes the word tabassum… sigh… Sheer magic.

    Whoa !! That song.....brings back soooo many memories of childhood. It has been years someone mentioned that song and I had completely forgotten about it ...

    "I wish I was in monkey land, the land where i was born
    a monkey kissed me on my cheek and said goodbye so long ..."

    then come the lines with the L's in them

    "he bumped his head unto the wall and blamed it on to me "

    ... some thing like that i just can't remember the whole rhyme/song :) :)

    Great post Sidin!!
    Of late, your posts have become more "professional", as in the pure, unadulterated humor of the early days is missing. I don't fault you though. I understand that being a professional writer is very different from being a rookie blogger. But for die-hard fans like me, please come with a classic. Will you? :)

    As always a laugh riot. I like alvida..it has a nice feel. om namah was clutterd..dunno why. Wouldnt like to listen if there is more of alvida kind of stuff.

    "A Peek Into Your Past".. Really good.. Man...I'm your super duper bumper sub junior.. Haha! I finished engineering recently.. Newaz, I jus went on stage 2ice.. 1ce was in some stupid skit cald "everything is for our own good" and another time for the thought for the day..screwed up the 2nd though..School Life.. *Sigh*..

    Awesome read there ... :)
    but this teeny bit held my fancy - //I grew up listening to my dad who was quite the shave-time serenader. He gave us our morning renditions of old Rafi and Yesudas numbers while we sat around begging him to stop.

    That reminds sooooo much of my dad *sigh* and then, its reality again.
    Good to know other dads bombarded their kids with oldies ... my dad's fav was "mere saamne wale khidki main " :)

    Just came google searching for the L-ed song! I still remember how we practiced the song as a group and then sang it on the school's 1hr show on AIR :D Wish I had the recording!
