Four cities. Four airlines. Two days. One laptop. One blogger with a net enabled mobile phone trying his hand at on-the-move mobile blogging!
This is a first for me on Indigo Airlines. They do not have an inflight magazine. Things, otherwise, are not so bad at all ... Continue reading »

  • Hi Mathi.

My bad. The link is up and running now. It is an INTEGRAL part of the blog really!

    Cheerio!
  • Where's the Part II of the wedding saga. Eagerly waiting. This post was not bad at all.

this one was interesting in its own way..and yea got the joke in that link :D:D

  • Heh heh @ Neptune's neighbour.

Well done Sir, I do love those emergency exits as well!

Eagerly awaiting the new cricket post.

    Hi to the missus.
  • Good that you did not have to travel with Air Deccan.
    Travel Diary
  • Beautifully written... :)
  • You know you could have gone straight from Jaipur to Ahmedabad.

Guess the Missus did not give permission :)

    Good post!
  • yummmmmy post.. u make me miss india!
  • im guessing one of em was miniature marwaris.
would be awesome if it wasnt though
  • beautiful post sidin
  • Congrats on ur wedding! It sure was cold these winters.

    Punju + catholic wedding = wow! :).

Must have been a lot of fun.
  • hmm...your blogs are getting agonizingly long, and increasingly so. I used to be a fan of your style, now I come here, see the length, roll my eyes & close the tab. The language is slacking, as is the humor. Not that it's bad if you read it the first time, but definitely not by Sidin of the Travails... fame.

I suspect the "wow!!" and "brilliantly written" kind of comments are either by loyal fans or mediocre readers who think "oh, sidin vadukut = terrific writer", so anything he writes has to be terrific - else I might not be counted as an intellectual!"

Writing this blunt criticism for selfish reasons...miss reading the way you wrote.

    -an ex-fan

(looking fwd to being one again.)

PS: does there have to be a PS with what the wife says in every entry?
  • "I politely pick up a potato chip. (Wife please note: ONE chip)"

Was this a large chip which was supporting a number of its siblings helping them defy gravity????
  • cudn't agree more with once-a-fan..
been followin ur blogs since a very long time..ever since the now fabled 'Travails..' piece came along as a forward....man! was so glad tht i tuk time out to read tht one..

ofcourse, thr's no denying the flashes of brilliance..a couple of gems in this one too..miniature marwaris..hehe..but naahh..not the same..

and yes, we r being terribly unfair in our judgements and cannot expect u to meet the self-set lofty standards evrytime u feel like writing something..

but the fact remains...may b u hav gotten a tad too busy with othr engagemnts...but if u cud manage Travails while u were sloggin in IIM A...hmmmm...

don wanna say tht u hav lost it, but plz don write nethin just for the sake of it..am sure ur loyal readership is prepared to wait for the gud ones..so, till the next one comes along, I 'll just hav to make do with a re-read of Travails..:)
  • is it by design that ur posts are getting bigger n bigger or is it just in sync with ur waistline ;)...anyways i'm an anonymous regular to ur blog for quite some time...
  • Nice post, but certainly quite long..
  • Sidin,

Visited your blog first time today. Pretty cool.
  • Awesome post....and yes.... the exit door seat is the BEST.

BTW Sidin.... what happened when you woke up...where is the part two ;-)?????

    Hi to wifey.
  • My first visit to your blog, and I really enjoyed this one. Was surprised to see all the criticism in the comments here!! I guess I ought to go read some of the earlier posts to find out how you have been spoiling your readers!
  • after reading that gujrati thali description...I am hungry!!!wanna eat all of that stuff!!!

    nice post as always...
  • another enjoyable post ...
  • good work there mate !
  • Sidin monay,
You do and can write extremely well. It's been a joy reading your posts, irrespective of how long they are.

And because this post was an exception of sorts , it will find a place in a museum someday as the only post where Sidin's creativity and humour was lost in mundane details of some assignment.

I definitely don't think that one ordinary post(by your own high standards) makes a bad blog.I look forward to seeing another cracking new post soon to prove your critics wrong :-) !!
  • Two days were quite long. I counted backwards from 48 hour to the current timing mentioned there. Part of it hilarious. Repeated flight magazine part was unnecessary. Otherwise a decent post.

    Bye,

An old junior from Trichirappalli abt whom you don't know anything.
  • tsk.. er scrolling down and reading all these comments made me forget my point; couldn't have been terribly important though.
    As always, pleasant reading.
  • Yuranus hahaha
Sidin replied to comments yet again :o

    Whatay laang post !
  • gAbout people smiling serenely as the oxygen levels dropped and the masks fell down…..you should see ‘Fight Club, Bratt Pitt answers that exact question beautifully……Hmm…or maybe THAT’s where you got this joke ….tch tch , not you Sidin
  • W.r.t. the much amusing billboard, I happened to click a pic of it a few months back. I could mail it. The billboard is priceless, I must admit. Also, I am feeling generous today :P
  • whew!that was some trip! interesting interesting.. :)
  • NOW WOW... you are not popular... but quite famous on the blogosphere...

like your recent post.... and am hooked until i read more....
  • Super post. Loved it. The brevity of it all. writing so little, yet saying so much.
  • Outstanding post
