This was funny but I can relate to it as hubby and I don't look our age. People feel we are college kids when actually he is 31 and I am nearing 30. So, I often talk in uppercase about our marital status. :-)

Keep it going man.

I remember getting caught in a train in a similar situation.The snorer was the only guy to sleep in our compartment and it kept us all awake.His snore was like one of those Brahmos missiles.

Consider joining a gym.It is one of those places where you can be w(f)itness to more fun like this.

Go Air to come. Nice one. Had the misfortune of travelling home in a not so neat Chennai-Alleppey last week. There was no snoring marathon around, but there was a cranky fan which kept everyone up till somebody switched it off. Unfortuately, I must add, since it was a pretty humid trip.

The conversation about the "dinner" at the in-laws was funny. But at least, it's vegetarian and can't be that fattening. My mom always have a ton of chicken ready whenever I go home. ;)

dear sidin,

Reminds of the dried beef my ammachy used to make . Used to string them on this steel rod and hang it above the kitchen fireplace. There is something abt food cooked on firewood. The beef treated with masala, salt and pepper and sun dried . Then smoked for a week. Then this is beated on the grinding stone and fried. That with red boiled rice and salted whole mango pickle with a dash of homemade ghee. And ammachy used to serve hot ghee spiced with baby onions.
Now where will i go for that flavor of smoked beef. My ammachy died 12 years back.

To elaborate

Phones :
a)Good for recordring a variety of tonal modulations...especially Snores...as so beautifully demonstrated.
b)Good to take pics of unsuspecting 'maamas' and 'maamis' ruthlessly pulling out hair and other heavely/sacred blobs from places beyond one's comprehension ( a winner for Ripleys).
c)Awesome device to break a boring convesation with one of the sanctimonious 'maamas' and 'prospective tambram fils' trying to find which gotram your ancestors belonged to.
d) oh did i mention...a great device to talk to someone (if you do find a signal to do so!!)

So sid...you just succesfully demonstrated point a.
b and c on the cards?? ;)....
